Dylan Mulvaney Remerges After Bud Light Debacle To Demand Companies Fight ‘Bigots’ – ‘We Should Not Let Them Win’


The transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney has reemerged in the wake of the Bud Light boycott to demand that other companies stand up to “bigots” and commit to LGBTQ+ partners.

Mulvaney Sounds Off 

Bud Light’s parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev has lost nearly $40 billion in value since Bud Light teamed up with Mulvaney for a partnership back in April. The company reported a 10.5% drop in revenue and a nearly 30% plunge in core profit in the U.S. during the second quarter, according to The New York Post.

Despite this, Mulvaney, 26, is expecting other companies to heed to her demands when it comes running their businesses in the future. While being interviewed at the 2023 Forbes CMO Summit, Mulvaney whined about how she feels that she took the brunt of the “hate and vitriol” after the Bud Light partnership, calling on companies to take relationships they have with progressive activists more seriously.

“If you’re going to ask us to capitalize on our vulnerabilities and our traumas, at least have our backs when the going gets tough,” Mulvaney declared, adding that companies must build a “connection between the partner and the brand.”

Not stopping there, Mulvaney went on to argue that companies must not just hire diverse or progressive spokespeople for marketing campaigns, but also “push for diversity in the boardroom and on their consulting staff.”

“If you’re not sitting on the table, you’re on the menu,” Mulvaney ominously added.

Mulvaney also argued that it’s not enough for companies to just hire transgender people, as they need to stand by them as well.

“Supporting and hiring trans people should not be political, and the people making it out to be— they’re bigots,” the influencer said. “And we should not let them win.”

Forbes, which gushed over Mulvaney, reported that she presented them with an idea a more inclusive Bud Light ad in the form of “a commercial set in a western saloon.”

“She said she envisions a trans woman on the opposite side of the saloon as a famous cowboy walks in, and the camera zooms in as their respective high heels and cowboy boots walk toward one another. As the camera pans out, they crack a beer together with the line ‘There’s room for all of us beer drinkers in this town,’” Forbes stated.

Mulvaney Turns On Bud Light

This isn’t the first time that Mulvaney has slammed Bud Light for not doing enough to stand by her, as she publicly turned on the company back in June.

“I was waiting for the brand to reach out to me, but they never did. I’ve been scared to leave my house,” Mulvaney said in a video posted to social media last month. “For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse than not hiring a trans person at all.”

“Because it gives customers permission to be as transphobic and as hateful as they want. There’s should be nothing controversial or divisive about working with us,” the transgender influencer continued. “I have been ridiculed in public I’ve been followed and I have felt a loneliness that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.”

Bud Light Sales Down 30 Percent

Meanwhile, Bud Light sales are still down 30 percent, with one expert saying that drinkers are “just lost forever.”

“The Bud Light situation has actually gotten worse,” Beer Business Daily publisher Harry Schuhmacher told Fox News last month. “You see Bud Light still just stubbornly down around 30% in volume compared to last year, which is where it’s been since May or June. That tells me that this is quasi-permanent, meaning those consumers are just lost forever.”

“Bud Light’s latest week trends — down 26.9% in dollars and down 30.3% in volume — are nearly identical to its four-week trends,” he continued, going on to say that Bud Light is likely to see similar year-over-year declines for the “foreseeable future,” or “at least until April and May of 2024 when they lap the controversy.”

Despite this, Mulvaney still thinks that she is in a position to give advice to other companies about how they can best go about running their businesses. Any company that is stupid enough to listen to her should be prepared to learn the same “go woke, go broke” lesson that Bud Light did.
