Gwen Stefani Loving ‘Beautiful Life’ In Oklahoma With Blake Shelton – ‘God Is All Right There’

The singer Gwen Stefani is speaking out in a new interview to say that she’s happier than ever with her life in Oklahoma two years after she married the country music star Blake Shelton.

Stefani’s New Life In Oklahoma

Shelton and Stefani met back in 2014 when they were both coaches on “The Voice,” and they married in July of 2021. Since then, they’ve split their time between Los Angeles and Tishomingo, Oklahoma, where they own a home.

“Going to Oklahoma [and] just being introduced to a whole world I didn’t know about — and I’m not really a dirt person or like a bug person or a hot person — but you sort of get over it all,” Stefani told People Magazine.

“It’s so beautiful [in Oklahoma], and you kind of feel like you’re going into this vortex,” she added. “I guess it’s just nature and God is all right there.”

Stefani Becomes Her Parents

Since putting down roots in Oklahoma, Stefani has been stunned to find that she’s turning into her parents.

“When I was young, I’d walk home from school and see my mom in her shorts doing her gardening, and my dad would be cutting the trees and make me pick up the branches. I’d be like, ‘I’m never having a tree at my house,’” she recalled.

Stefani now describes herself as a “garden flower nerd,” gushing that she “just had the most incredible dahlias ever.”

“When we get to Oklahoma, we’re constantly working — and it’s a different kind of work,” she explained. “It’s probably what my mom was doing back in the day, and now I get it!”

After being born and raised in California, Stefani is still shocked by the turn her life has taken since meeting Shelton, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“I didn’t see any of this coming with Blake. This was just a big old ‘What?’ It was an amazing gift to experience love like that for the first time,” she said. “He’s changed my life … when I [started dating] Blake, that’s when I felt home, like, ‘Oh, this is where I’m supposed to be, with this guy.”

Shelton Loves Being A Stepfather

Shelton has also become a doting stepfather to the three sons that Stefani shares with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale: Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 9. When Shelton announced that he was leaving “The Voice” last year, he revealed that he was doing so in part because of his duties as a devoted stepfather.

“They’ve taught me something about myself that I never knew: I’m more than just a country singer or a goofy guy,” Shelton told People last December. “I’m someone they actually lean on, and that’s not a responsibility that I ever had and not something that I ever considered even being into.”

“It’s a different kind of self-worth,” he explained. “Maybe it’s the opposite of self-worth because you put yourself way down on the rung, and they move up ahead of you.”

Shelton went on to say that his family has become his top priority.

“You don’t know what your regrets are going to be until you look back one day,” he said. “I feel like my regrets would be, if I stayed on this path, that I am missing out on some more important things in life — and for now, that’s our kids.”

“Having kids, it truly does make you go, ‘Oh whoa. Wait a minute.’ This isn’t about me anymore and never will be again,’” he continued. “If you don’t say that to yourself, I think you’re only hurting yourself because you’re going to miss out.”

It seems that Stefani and Shelton really are a match made in heaven. We’re so glad that Stefani is enjoying her new life in Oklahoma, and we wish both her and Shelton many years of happiness to come!
